Sunday Ticket is ridiculous… I tried to talk my bf out of it this year, but he won’t budge.. he said this is our treat… So I plan to remind him of that… there will be no movies and no leaving the house on Sundays as far as I’m concerned!! I’ll be getting every pennies worth of it!!

That is so awesome! I find myself watching less tv, and being more annoyed with the satellite bill. I just wish we lived closer to family so we could catch some games!

We get no tv at all. When it’s football season, we use it as an excuse to visit with family. One Sunday, we go to my husband’s parents’ house, the next weekend we go to my parents’ house. Works really well for us!

I agree that it is very very expensive! When we lived closer to Baltimore, there was actually a Browns Backers group where we could go to a bar and watch the games. We’d budget $10-$15 for wings and soda, and have a great time watching the games with other Browns fans. We didn’t even have cable back then.

When we moved to PA, it was too far of a drive (and the group relocated to a more expensive bar). At the time, since no Browns games were televised, Sunday ticket worked out to be about the same price per game.

Now with a kid, and more games on tv, it is just not worth it to us.

At least the package we have with Direct TV is affordable – they gave us a bunch of discounts when our last contract was up and I called to “cancel”.

We have had NFL Sunday ticket twice. One year it was a xmas gift for my husband. Now he has to work every Sunday, and I just cant see spending all that money. It is very very expensive, and a waste in my mind. We have done away with direct tv all together and switched to Dish Network, we save at least 30 dollars a month. melissas last blog post..Prehistoric Planet On Discovery Kids
