We stayed at Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon and got a room for $69 dollars a night and it faced the canyon. You can’t beat the price – it was rustic, but not bad at all. I’d look into staying there if you can – we loved it!

Thanks for the suggestion! I will definitely check it out. I know that we may be able to take advantage of a friend’s RCI membership, but the more options the better! We’d definitely love a place with a kitchen…

That's funny, my husband and I are going to Sedona in May for a friend's wedding. I think I'll be buying the plane tickets today. We are looking into renting a room through Vacation Rentals By Owner (vrbo.com). There was at least one place in Sedona that was cheaper than a hotel room and included a kitchen (good way to save money on food!). I haven't used vrbo yet, but I'm looking into it for two trips we're going on this year and I really like the concept. Just a thought!
