If you are a US citizen, now is as good as time as any to register to vote.  Not letting your voice be heard is a tragedy!

In case you are wondering, HeadCount is an organization dedicated to registering voters at music events throughout the country.  I’ve seen them at Phish shows and Bonnaroo, and they are good people.  When you click on the button and register, I get a chance to win a Jam Cruise.  Please feel free to get a button for your site as well.

Have a good day!

This is great. I have a feeling we’ll have a great turn-out this November. Obama is bringing out the younger voters in droves. It’s nice to see many age groups getting involved with their country.

Hello, yes I am registered to vote, though I dont always vote. It seems every year, it gets harder and harder for me to choose the candidate I like best. This time around, I will be voting, I just am not sure for who yet lol. As an Independant, it is very difficult.

Voting in this year’s elections is probably more important than ever given the economic and foreign policy situation that we are currently in. It doesn’t take much time to register and actually vote but more importantly it brings more people in the political process and that improves the likelihood of getting competent people in the government.

I love the grassroots efforts, such as this, to improve involvement in the political process.

I agree that it is really important to get out and vote this year. I think that the direction that this country takes in the next 4-8 years will be very dependent on who gets elected.

Melissa – I will be interested to see who each candidate chooses for vice-president. We have to come to terms with the possibility that our VP may be running the country, although no one wants to talk about it (McCain due to age, Obama due to assassination).

    Thanks for the comments!
