It’s potty time!
I think that we may be lucky, but we started potty training about 2 weeks ago, and we’re doing pretty well. The kid sometimes does the potty dance, but accidents have been very few and far between. He does wear a diaper to bed and a pull-up during naptime. Other than that, it’s undies all day long!
Am I missing something? I thought that the terrible twos were horrific, but we’ve had a lot of fun so far. Of course there are craptastic days, but overall it’s been a wonderful experience. Maybe he’ll turn into a demon on his third birthday?
I think we’re going to stop at one kid. This one got all the good DNA

Hi, I hope you don’t have the terrible threes!!! Or maybe it’s just a test, and the real terrible twos will show their ugly face soon lol.
great posting and I like your blog. Could you tell me where you got your Public Announcement ad
the Humanitarian Pledge ? I would love to get one like that or I have seen one re: Darfur. Maybe you could email me if you have a source. thanks so much…keep up the great work!!!
Ah potty training. We are going through it with our two year-old now. He’s taking much longer than our daughter. She got right with the program and understood it right away. I guess, boys will be boys
I found the terrible twos, were not that terrible at all, with either of my children. When they hit three, however, that is when the terribleness begins. I still enjoy them, even when they are terrible lol.

Congrats! We started potty training about a month ago and it’s been going great. He wears a diaper to bed and nap, and a pull up when we go out. But he never uses the pull up and rarely pees during nap. I just like the peace of mind.

Potty training was much less of a nightmare than I expected. After a short while, I sent her to bed with no diaper as well. I’d just make sure she went right before bed, and since I’m somewhat of a night owl anyways, I’d get her up right before I went to bed to go again (Her bedtime before nine, mine around one), and we’ve had very very few accidents.
The only time I can bet on an accident for sure is my own fault, and thats not making sure she’s had plenty to drink before 7 or so. The big challenge for us was prepping her for not having her warm milk right before bed; she had trouble falling asleep for the first week or so. What worked for us was setting up a routine of a (very) small snack of something like half an apple or a couple of orange slices, fifteen minutes or so of reading, teeth brushing and then bedtime.
And now I’ve rambled on… but who doesn’t love talking about how awesome their kid is

My daughter didn’t have a terrible two phase, she saved it for when she was three. Lol, luckily it only lasted a couple of months.
Congratulations on the successfully potty training. It took my daughter a little more than a month later to make it through the night without any accidents. It is nice to save money without having to buy diapers anymore.
